Andromeda's Day

7.00am – 8.00am: Good morning.

Something mundane to start the day off with. We usually have our recycling collected on a Thursday but since Thursday was Christmas Day, today was recycling day instead. I wish to point out that we don’t usually have that many beer bottles in our recycling.

8.00am – 9.00am: Baby swans.

While I was out and about I took some photos of the less than a week old cygnets swimming in the lake. There are six of them and I tried to take some photos yesterday but they weren’t very close. Today they were right by the edge.

9.00am – 10.00am: It’s going to rain.

I left the washing out last night because I thought it was going to be a nice sunny day today but I decided it was getting decidedly cloudy so I brought the washing in which was just as well because moments later it started to rain.

10.00am – 11.00am: YUMMM

I’ve been nibbling at these all morning. What else can I say!

11.00am – Midday: Yes, I’m a Dummy.

I know very little about Photoshop even though I’ve had it about 6 months. I’ve decided that during my time off work I’m going to make a concerted effort to finish going through “Photoshop CS3 for Dummies”. I’ve been reading it on and off all morning.

Midday – 1.00pm: Choo choo

I went to say hello to hubby down in the garage. He’s shut himself away down there, playing – sorry – working on his steam engine.

1.00pm – 2.00pm: I was low on ideas at this point.

Well we all do it don’t we? Just a creative photo of something very necessary.

2.00pm – 3.00pm: Aaaachoooo.

Being summer my hay fever flares up. Not too much of the itchy eyes today but certainly a runny nose.

3.00pm – 4.00pm: This could be a disaster.

OK. So we have this thing in our laundry. It has three compartments, one on top of the other on top of the other and it’s designed for sorting out the laundry. The bottom compartment split a while back so today I took the opportunity to make a new compartment. I would just like to mention that I hate sewing, I’m no good at sewing and I don’t even know what I’m doing!

4.00pm – 5.00pm: Still going.

I’m a bit dubious. But if it doesn’t turn out then it’s not the end of the world as I got the material from a second hand shop for only $1.99.

5.00pm – 6.00pm: The end result.

I’d rather not post this photo. I’d rather post the macro photo I took of crisps but I figured that some of you might be a tad curious as to how it turned out. And as you can see, it’s certainly not very professional. But it DOES fit (well sort of anyway) and it’s better than the old one.
